Campus.AI

The Campus.AI project leverages AI to transform how we understand and utilise campus spaces, addressing crucial challenges in energy efficiency and sustainable building usage. Campus.AI focuses particularly on occupancy patterns, and together with other environmental measurements is able to predict space utilisation, as well as detects potential anomalies, taking into account the features of the campus such as lecture rooms, labs, and more.

This data enables better resource planning and optimised consumption, thereby supporting sustainable practices and eventually also reducing carbon footprints. Campus.AI includes a prototype interface for visualising the insights powered by advanced AI algorithms, but challenges remain, such as refining the algorithms and integrating more complex environmental factors. Campus.AI has successfully built predictive models based on deep learning methods, demonstrating significant potential in reshaping property management for a more sustainable future.

IVA’s 100 List 2024: Innovation through Interdisciplinary Research

IVA’s 100 List 2024 highlights a diverse range of research projects from Swedish universities, under the theme Technology in the Service of Humanity - Innovation through Interdisciplinary Research. The projects have been selected based on their great potential to create value through commercialization, business and method development, or societal impact. All participating researchers are interested in increased contacts with the business sector for the application and further development of their projects.

Named contact persons for each research project on the 100 List are responsible for the accuracy of the information presented.
