Efficient and Reusable Approach for Hydrogen Storage
Towards sustainable development and along climate actions, the Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carrier (LOHC) has emerged as a promising approach for hydrogen storage; in which, hydrogen is loaded to an organic liquid, transported to end user, and finally unloaded.

The loading/unloading runs at high pressure and temperature of hydrogen gas, in presence of a catalyst. Alternatively, we have developed an electrified loading/unloading of LOHC; in which, green electricity is employed to transfer hydrogen from (e.g.) water to organic liquid at ambient conditions. Our method offers significant reduction of energy loss: (i) doesn’t need energy intensified loading/unloading and (ii) hydrogen production step in conventional route is bypassed.
We believe that hydrogen storage using our E-LOHC can play a key role in energy industry. Obviously, financial support is a trigger, however, developing a novel technology towards commercialisation is highly impressed by collaborations, and synergic efforts.
