Sweden is a knowledge-intensive nation, reliant on a robust research and innovation system for competitiveness and sustained high welfare standards. However, global investments in research, development, and innovation are rapidly increasing in other regions, reshaping the landscape.
OECD's STI Outlook provides recurring assessments of countries' investments, partnerships, and patent holdings within research, development, and innovation. The 2023 edition of the report demonstrates significant investment growth in countries both within and particularly outside the EU in recent years. The seminar will explore global developments and Sweden's strategies for addressing the heightened international competition.
The seminar will be given in English.
