Professor Yoshua Bengio is recognized worldwide as one of the leading experts in artificial intelligence. He is best known for his groundbreaking work in deep learning, for which he received the 2018 A.M. Turing Award (the “Nobel Prize of Computing”) along with Geoffrey Hinton and Yann LeCun.

Yoshua Bengio is a professor at the Université de Montréal, and the founder and scientific director of Mila – Quebec AI Institute. He is also co-director of the CIFAR Learning in Machines & Brains program as a Senior Fellow, and serves as the scientific director of IVADO – an interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral research and training consortium with a mission to develop and promote robust, reasoning, and responsible AI.
