Sweden's and Europe's competitiveness must be strengthened. We have fallen behind in many important technological areas, not least in AI, compared to countries such as the USA, India, and China. To enhance Sweden's innovative capacity, cutting-edge research, highly educated personnel, and effective collaboration between academia and industry for the transfer and implementation of new knowledge and technological solutions are essential.
Welcome to a seminar where we will discuss the importance of postgraduate education for industrial innovation and entrepreneurship. Examples will be drawn from the WASP research programme, which started in 2015. The programme is a major national initiative for strategically motivated basic research, education and recruitment of academic expertise in AI, autonomous systems, and software.
The seminar is organised by IVA's Division Electrical Engineering, and will be held in English.
