"Sweden and the EU need to invest more in AI"

In order for Sweden to be able to maintain its competitiveness in the future, we need to invest more in AI development and innovation. This insight was reinforced for IVA's Chair Marcus Wallenberg, who led IVA's delegation trip to Silicon Valley, where around thirty people from industry, startups, investors, academia and the public sector participated, in the presence of The Crown Princess and Prince Daniel, as well as Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade Johan Forssell.

AI in focus when IVA delegation visits Silicon Valley

A delegation from the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) visits Silicon Valley on February 19–22. Parts of the visit take place in the presence of DD.KK.HH. The Crown Princess and Prince Daniel. The goal is to increase cooperation opportunities between Silicon Valley and Sweden and, by extension, strengthen Sweden's position in digitization and AI.

IVAs Entreprenörskapsakademi verkar på olika sätt för att stimulera entreprenörskap i Sverige. Pontus Braunerhjelm är ny styrgruppsordförande för projektet, som nu inleder ett arbete med att stärka det svenska entreprenörskapet genom att fokusera på policyfrågorna.

IVA’s Entrepreneurship Academy

IVA's Entrepreneurship Academy works with exchange of experiences, knowledge acquisition and policy development to promote and strengthen entrepreneurship and stimulate more entrepreneurs in Sweden. In practice the project aims to increase knowledge about entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial abilities and contribute to improving policy and regulations.

Rapport: Vi utbildar för framtiden nu

Inspel till en ny strategi för entreprenörskap i skolan. Mycket har förändras sedan nuvarande strategi för entreprenörskap i skolan antogs. Projektet IVAs Entreprenörskapsakademi har därför, genom en arbetsgrupp bestående av representanter för skola, myndigheter, akademisk forskning och näringsliv, arbetat fram detta inspel till en uppdaterad strategi.

IVA’s Entrepreneurship Academy has sought to answer this question by interviewing researchers, educators and other key individuals at six Swedish universities.
